Bagpipes!

The "national instrument" of Scotland – instantaneously recognizable either by sight – or by sound. The bagpipes are the only musical instrument ever declared to be a weapon of war and outlawed! Another saying goes … "The man who invented BAGPIPES and called it MUSIC – is the same man who invented GOLF and called it FUN!". Either way, there is something about the sound of massed pipes and drums that cannot help but stir the blood.

We will have pipe bands on the field each day for our games, and the bands will perform individually on stage at various times throughout the day. When not performing the pipers and drummers will be available in the Piping Pavilion to answer questions and show off their skill to the public.

Dancers!

The Country Dancers will perform throughout the day. The Country Dancers will have their own pavilion where they will invite spectators to join in the fun and get a little exercise. But be careful – Country Dancing is addictive!

Wee Dancer

Highland dancers start out as young as 5 to perfect their art. Come see these wonderful young people perform and encourage them.
